Acceptable Use Policy
This applies to every instance, trial or paid.
You may not use the service to
- Break the law, or help anyone else to.
- Send unsolicited bulk email, or run a list you did not obtain consent for. Outbound mail from trial instances is restricted for this reason.
- Host or distribute malware, phishing pages, or content designed to deceive someone into giving up credentials or money.
- Attack anything — port scanning, brute forcing, denial of service — whether ours or a third party's.
- Mine cryptocurrency, or run workloads whose purpose is to consume compute rather than to use the application.
- Store material that is unlawful to possess or distribute.
- Attempt to reach another customer's instance, host, or data, or to escape the isolation between instances.
- Resell the service as your own without a written reseller agreement.
Resource use
A shared plan carries limits on CPU, memory, storage and outbound traffic. Exceeding them persistently is not a breach of this policy — it is a sign you need a larger plan, and we will say so before taking any action.
What we do
Where we can, we contact you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. Where the conduct is causing active harm — an ongoing attack, a phishing page, a compromise being used against others — we suspend immediately and tell you why.
We report to the authorities where the law requires it.
Reporting abuse
If an instance on this platform is being used against you, write to us with the address and what you observed. We investigate every report.
